This handmade evil eye charm red string bracelet is the must-have accessory for protection in daily life. A long stranded red cotton string with a flat 8mm round glass turquoise evil eye charm attached to its centre that acts as an additional eye catching protective amulet.

It is an old Jewish belief and folk custom to wear a thin red string knotted 7 times on the left wrist as this is the receiving side of the spiritual body. The red string is a talisman believed to ward off misfortune brought on by the curse of the evil eye by others. The colour red is associated with warding off negative energy too. Some people believe that the wearer should make a wish when the string is tied onto the wrist and when the red string eventually breaks off due to natural wear and tear, the wish will come true.

For this reason this bracelet is designed to be worn without taking it off until it naturally breaks. Once it is tied around the wrist and knotted it is difficult to untie. Please consider this before purchasing this bracelet.
